Insight Shanghai Education Consulting Co., Ltd. is a Shanghai based education-consulting firm with its representatives in New York, Birmingham, Sydney, Beijing. We are dedicated to helping people gain understanding, share knowledge, and develop skills for living in a globally interdependent and culturally diverse world.
Our founders have had years of industry experience in providing language and cultural exchange programs , career development program. Unlike many other companies, we are actually based in Shanghai, as are the founders of the company, and the host institutions that are available to you. This is extremely beneficial, as this allows us to provide you with very close support during your stay in China.
We offer a variety of programs especially to promote cultural exchange between western born or raised people and the Mainland Chinese communities.
l The Chinese Language Study Program (Only available in Beijing after 2007)features supplementary courses such as Chinese History and Culture or Chinese Politics and Reforms. These programs are available for short term (4 weeks) or long-term (1 semester to 1 academic year) study at famous universities or renowned language training centers in Shanghai. Each Month, we arrange at least one tour trip to the famous historical sights or scenary spots outside Shanghai, like Nanjing, Shaolin Temple, Huangshan Mountain, etc. For students staying for one semester, we will be traveling to Tibet for a 10 day trip.
l The Teach-in-China Program offers the opportunity to teach English as a foreign language, with either 5 or 10-month placements. It is also possible to choose the age group that you wish to teach; this ranges from kindergarten to university level. Your host institution will offer you a competitive salary, accommodations and other necessary living commodities, and for those on a 10-month contract, your flight back home.
l The Internship Program aims to help foreigners gain experience in China?s commercial and industrial fields and may be undertaken for 1 to 3-month periods, sometimes it can be extended to 6 months. Now we offer internship in two major cities in China, Shanghai and the beautiful island city Xiamen in Fujian province, one of the four special economic zone in China. After 2007 we will be able to offer the internship in more cities like Nanjing, Beijing, etc
l The Home-Stay Program offers you the chance to live with an urban Chinese family in order to experience their lifestyle. This in turn will allow you to practice your Chinese language skills or learn about Chinese cuisine. The Home-Stay Program can also be combined with a short-term Study Program or an Internship Program.
l Tour Trips will be arranged to various sites of cultural and historical significance in China, including visits to the capital city Beijing, the Terracotta Warriors in Xi?an, The Silk Road, the Yunnan minority groups or Tibet featured with academic workshop and activities interact with local professors and people.
