Please beware of scammers

As an international platform, Globalplacement is prone to attract those who try to scam people out of their money. For example by promising an internship abroad, but requiring a payment up front for their services. In some cases this might be for legitamite reasons, but always be very very vigilant.

Even though we try our very best to keep our platform free of abuse, we can't garantuee we'll never miss anything. If you see any suspicious vacancies on our website, please do report them by reaching out to us. Never transfer money or share your bank account/credit card details with anyone unless you're absolutely sure it is safe to do so (in which case it is always at your own risk).

Job description

Our MARINE BIOLOGY PROGRAM in Tenerife focuses on understanding the marine environment, combining marine biology lessons and enhanced underwater sampling through diving. We have a day-by-day calendar with a variety of activities and training sessions to participate in our ongoing projects. You will carry out fieldwork and sampling in different marine environments, using various scientific methodologies, always accompanied by a marine biologist and/or PADI professional instructor.

We provide participants with hands-on, real-world experience that complements their academic knowledge. Working in the field and conducting research in marine environments will help them apply theoretical concepts to real-world situations.

The idea is to offer you a complete experience in Marine Biology, from marine organisms and their ecosystem to underwater sampling and the analysis of data acquired through diving. The field of marine biology encompasses topics such as marine ecology, conservation, marine organisms, marine sampling through underwater activity, data analysis through statistical platforms, and more. With us, you can also get PADI scuba certification or continue your scuba diving education. Our growing database is always available for those who are thinking of writing an academic/scientific paper.

Activities

As a marine biology intern in  Tenerife, your mission is to collect data in the field using different underwater equipment and methods for sampling rocky bottoms and seagrasses. You will have the opportunity to graphically and statistically analyze the data acquired during the dive, and you will be provided with support in the writing of your personal scientific manuscript.

You'll be able to gain valuable skills and knowledge in a variety of subtopics. You will have the opportunity to write a thesis or scientific publications and increase your skills in the marine conservation sector. They will follow you step by step, from lessons to scuba diving.

Students, recent graduates and researchers are advised to seek funding at their universities by contacting their universities' International/Placement/Erasmus+ offices or other scholarship providers.
